WOOD, MARY ELEANOR The death of Mary Eleanor Wood of Oromocto, NB occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital, January 10, 2007. Born in Saint John, NB She was the daughter of the late Albany and Miriam (Dorey) Doucette and the wife of Harold E. Wood. Mary was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, and a member of the CWL. For many years she worked as a secretary at several companies including: Gordon McKay Eastern, RCMP J Division and St. Dunstan's Catholic Church. She was also a former employee of NB Tel and was a typesetter for the Daily Gleaner. Mary was a Staff Sgt. with CWAC (R). Survived by her husband, Harold E. Wood; two sons, Daniel (Sheila) Wood of Dartmouth, NS and Stephen Wood of Lincoln, NB; granddaughter, Jaclyn Ann Wood; four sisters, Pauline Donaldson of Saint John, NB; Dorothy (Ralph) Tait of Edmonton, AB; Anne (Herb) Narin of Victoria, BC; Faye (Greg) O'Neill of Saint John, NB and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, sister Verna Tobin, brothers, William, Lloyd, Arthur and Philip. Visitation will be held at Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home on Friday, January 12, 2006 from 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Saturday, January 13th, at 3:00 pm. Rev. Ken Weir as Celebrant. Interment will take place in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.
