FLEDA VAUGHAN (NASON) JOHNSON

JOHNSON, FLEDA VAUGHAN (NASON) Fleda Vaughan (Nason) Johnson of Fredericton Junction, N.B. passed away peacefully at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at the age of 95. Born in Fredericton Junction, N. B., she was the daughter of the late Effie (Josey) and Hardy Nason. Fleda is survived by her son Brian and his wife Lynda of Saint John, her granddaughters Sarah and Alicia and their mother Stephanie Alexander, special nieces and nephews, Harry Palmer (Sandra), Harlan Nason (Doreen), Shirley Conrad (Allan), Clair Nason (Dorothy), Rose Brawn, Eileen Fowler (Warren), Audrey Sanson and sister-in-law Grace Nason of Hoyt. Fleda graduated from Normal school in 1930. She was a kind, gentle lady who spent her younger years teaching - beginning in a one room school house at Sand Brook, N. B. and ended her career at the Elementary School, in Tracy, N. B. from where she retire in 1975. She was predeceased by her husband Ervine Johnson; sister Queenie and brothers Glynn and Wayne. Relatives and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home for visitation on Thursday, January 18, 7 to 9. Funeral service will be from St. Andrew's Anglican Church on Saturday January 20, 2007 at 11 AM with Bishop George Lemmon officiating. Interment in the Gladstone Cemetery in the spring.
