VERNON GILBERT LANDRY
LANDRY, VERNON GILBERT The passing of Vernon Gilbert Landry, of Fredericton, husband of Vilma (Lavigne) Landry, occurred on January 17, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 14, 1929 in Bathurst, NB, he was a son of the late Gilbert and Catherine (Howard) Landry. Vernon served in the Canadian Military and retired after 30 years of service. He was a member of St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #18, Bathurst and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Gale (Peter) Harding of Fredericton, Kathy (Stephen) Clarke of Dartmouth, NS; two sons, Gary (Annette Levy) of Chester, NS, Glenn (Carol) of Halifax; six grandchildren, Mitch, Matthew, Melissa, Jacob, Courtney and Dalton; one great grandchild; four brothers, Roger (Simmone) of Bathurst, Ian (Corrine) of Port Hawkesbury, NS, Howard of Toronto, Azade (Diana) of Nackawic and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Eugene Landry. Although there will be no visitation, A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 11 am with Father John Jennings as celebrant. Interment will take place at the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Bathurst, NB at a later date.
