MOREHOUSE, EDITH LILLIAN The passing of Edith Lillian Morehouse, wife of the late Haskell Morehouse, occurred on January 28, 2007 at York Manor Nursing Home, Fredericton. Born on May 4, 1905 in Burtt's Corner, she was a daughter of the late Harley and Adelia (Brewer) Burtt. Edith was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Zealand where she used to sing in the choir and enjoyed sewing, knitting and quilting in the church hall. She was also a former member of St. Paul's Altar Guild. Edith was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by one daughter, Priscilla J. MacDonald of Burtt's Corner; two sons, Douglas B. (Margaret) of Sutton, ON and Hugh B. (Edith) of Upper Keswick; daughter-in-law, Zula Morehouse of Upper Keswick; seven grandchildren, Wendy Haines, Andrea Pelham, Cheryl Jewett, Patricia Jewett, Janice Wallace, Deborah Yerxa, and Kent Morehouse; 14 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by three sons, Malcolm and two infant sons, Arden and Phillip; son-in-law Douglas MacDonald; two granddaughters, Shelley Boyne and Diane Morehouse; two sisters, Annie Bird and Olive Jones; five brothers, Rhodes, Darrell, Oswald, William and Ronald Burtt. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Tuesday, January 30th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Zealand on Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at 2 PM with Rev. Anthony Kwaw officiating. Interment will take place at St. Paul's Anglican Church Cemetery, Zealand at a later date.
