NOWLAN, JOSEPH ROBERT Joseph Robert Nowlan of South Oromocto Lake passed away at the Oromocto Public Hospital on February 25, 2007 at the age of 84. Bob is survived by his wife Valerie Noreen (Mersereau) Nowlan, one daughter Marthe Cleveland (Ken) of South Oromocto Lake, four sons David Nowlan (Anna) of Australia, Douglas S. Nowlan (Pearl) of South Oromocto Lake, Peter Nowlan (Diane) of Halifax and Mark Nowlan (Kathy) of Fredericton, one sister Dorilla Nowlan, three brothers - Francis (Eva), Roger (Marie) and Peter (Betty), eight grandchildren, three great grandchild, several nieces & nephews. Bob retired from the Royal Canadian Navy and was a member of Legion Branch #55. He is predeceased by his parents Barbara (Richard) and Joseph R. Nowlan, one son Bobby Nowlan, three sisters - Victoria, Iola and Bernice, two brother Yvon and Clarence. It was Bob's wish that there be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from Saint Augustine's Catholic Church, Grand Bay - Westfield, N.B. on Friday, March 2, 2007 at 11 AM with the Rev. Dr. Brian Hansen officiating. Interment of ashes will take place in the South Oromocto Lake Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Sunbury Funeral Home, Central Blissville, N.B. (368-2413).
