HUGHSON, SHALTA WILLIAM (BILL) S. W. (Bill) Hughson of Stairs Hill, NB passed away on March 15, 2007 at his home. Born at Fredericton in 1945, he was a son of the late Shalta and Lois (Long) Hughson. Bill was a member of the Hartland Covered Bridge Golf and Country Club. He enjoyed golfing, listening to music, spending time with his family, his cats, gardening and cooking. Before his retirement, Bill was employed for 25 years at St. Anne Nackawic Pulp Mill. Bill is survived by his partner, Nancy Witherell; three daughters, Tanya Arsenault (Shayne), California, USA, Shelta Bradley (Bruce), Grafton and Stephanie Hughson (Jeff ), Fredericton; two sons, Darryl Hawkins, Moncton and Gary Hawkins (Louise), Oromocto; five grandchildren, Taylor, Landen, Ryann, Alyxa and Matthew. In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his wife, Brenda in 2000. Resting at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic with visiting hours Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Nackawic Baptist Church, 94 McNair Drive, Nackawic on Monday, March 19, 2007 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating, assisted by Ralph LeBlanc. Interment will be later at Zealand Community Cemetery.
