WINIFRED DUPLESSIS (NASON) ARTES
ARTES, WINIFRED DUPLESSIS (NASON) Winifred Duplessis (Nason) Artes of Fredericton Junction, N.B. passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on March 22, 2007 at the age of 98. Winnie is survived by her sister-in-law Evelyn Bunker and Charlie of Rusagonis, several nieces & nephews also a chosen best friend Kathy Mersereau-Phillips who was a great help to Winnie and her cat Cookie. Winnie was a active member of St. Andrew's Anglican Church and will be greatly missed by the congregation. She was employed as a Auditor for both the Federal and Provincial Governments. Winnie was a Zone director for the Cancer Society for several years, a member of Gladstone Blissville Seniors, Historical Society and Legion Branch # 55. She was an Avon representative for over 40 years. She is predeceased by her parents Minnie Alberta (Duplessis) and John Alfred Nason, her husband Harry Artes, three brothers Clarence, Alfred and Lawrence Nason . Relatives and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home on Friday, March 23, 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service will be from St. Andrew's Anglican Church on Saturday, March 24, 2007 at 11 AM with Bishop George Lemmon officiating. Interment to follow in the Gladstone Cemetery at a later date. The pall bearer will be Daryl Burnett, Jim Devenney, Rick Gardiner, Dwight Phillips, Donnie Duplisea and Ronnie Butler.
