BLANCHE ELIZABETH MARTIN

MARTIN, BLANCHE ELIZABETH The passing of Blanche Elizabeth Martin, wife of Tilman Martin, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on April 4, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 12, 1935 in Gagetown, NB, she was a daughter of the late Burton and Helena (Biddiscombe) Johnson. Blanche enjoyed knitting, playing Bingo, gardening, feeding the birds and loved using her computer. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Joan Dow and Mary Martin both of Fredericton; four sons, Robert (Patty), Richard (Linda), Daniel (Penny) all of Fredericton and Thomas (Joyce) of AB; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; four sisters, Roberta (Murray) Woods of Lower Millstream, Pauline (Merritt) Corbett of Apohaqui, Doris McRae of Hampton and Marianne (Rubert) Merritt of Welsford; two brothers, Jack (Wilma) Johnson of Fredericton and Kenneth (Isobel) Johnson of Cody's; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Marie Knight and Kathryn King; four brothers, Harold, Francis, Raymond and Aubrey. Visitation will take place from York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Friday from 4 to 7 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, April 7, 2007 at 10 am with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Pallbearers are Donnie Johnson, Kevin Woods, Mitchell Martin, Timothy Martin, Josh Dow and Ronald Durelle. A private family interment will take place at St. John's Anglican Church Cemetery, Gagetown, NB.
