VICTORIA ADELINE TIMS
TIMS, VICTORIA ADELINE Victoria Adeline Tims of Lakeville Corner passed away at the Bishop Nursing Home in Minto on April 8th in her 97th year. Victoria was the daughter of the late Horace H. Randall and Annie L. Briggs. She was born at Randall Corner on 24 May 1910. Vickie was a gifted individual well known for her strong support of her church and community activities. She commenced her adult life as a graduate of the Fredericton Normal School at the age of seventeen. After a brief teaching career she married Willard Tims and spent many years as a resident of Fredericton before moving back to Lakeville Corner. A long time member of the Women's Institute, the Four Lake Seniors and a life member of the Lakeville Corner United Church Women, Vickie was well known for her church organ playing, her quilting, painting, crochet and needle point work plus her involvement with the Minto area retired teachers. Her husband Willard; sister, Edythe Byno; and brothers, Maurice and Harrison predeceased Vickie. Visiting hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at the Minto Funeral Home on Tuesday April 10. The service will be held at the Lakeville Corner United Church at 2 o'clock on Wednesday April 11th, Canon John Lownds and Rev. Ruth Stuart officiating. Interment will be in the Byno Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lakeville Corner War Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family. www.mintofh.com
