MRS. ELVA VIOLA (MACDONALD) STURGEON
STURGEON, MRS. ELVA VIOLA (MACDONALD) Mrs. Elva Viola (MacDonald) Sturgeon, widow of Bevin Sturgeon of White Rapids N.B., passed away Thursday morning, at her late residence, at the age of 100. Born in Gray Rapids N.B., she was the daughter of the late Albert and Grace (Sullivan) MacDonald. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Bridget's Roman Catholic Church, Renous N.B. She is survived by five daughters; Irma Tucker of Fredericton, Virginia Agnew (Michael) of Fredericton, Verneva Coughlan of Gray Rapids, Gloria Sturgeon (Cameron) of White Rapids, Lorraine Duffy (Merlin) of White Rapids; five sons; Cletus (Yvonne) Sturgeon of Miramichi, Percy (Wilma) Sturgeon of Renous, Albert (Eleanor) Sturgeon of Quarryville, Gordon (Tammy) Sturgeon of White Rapids, Reginald Sturgeon of White Rapids; one brother; Wilson MacDonald of Barnettville; 38 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren, 23 great great grandchildren. Besides her parents and her husband she was predeceased by four sisters; Hilda Tucker, Nora Coughlan, Ruby Coughlan, Emily Curtis, two brothers; Weldon MacDonald and Lawrence MacDonald. Mrs. Elva Viola Sturgeon rested at Father Murdock Memorial Room, Renous, with visitation on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated today, Saturday April 21, 2007, at 11 am from St. Bridget's Roman Catholic Church, Renous, with Monsignor Joseph Woods officiating.
