MACFARLANE, BARBARA JEAN Peacefully surrounded by her family, Barbara Jean MacFarlane, wife of the late Frederick Earl MacFarlane passed away on April 25, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born in Marysville, NB, she is the daughter of Ida (Taylor) McKay and the late Ron McKay. Barbara was a one time employee of Barker Equipment and later with NB Power. She was a member of the Nashwaaksis United Church and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Besides her mother, she is survived by her children, Michael MacFarlane (Bernadette) of Marysville, Brian MacFarlane (Terry) of Moncton, Eric MacFarlane (Margot) of Marysville, Cathy Rankin (David) Fredericton and Garth MacFarlane of Fredericton; nine grandchildren, Scott and Matthew MacFarlane, Rebecca and Jeremy MacFarlane, Laura and Andrew MacFarlane, Leanne and Erika Foster and Jennifer Rankin; two sisters, Judy Webster and Elizabeth Stewart both of Moncton; two brothers, Ron McKay (Jane) of Nova Scotia and Myron McKay of Silverwood; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and father, she was predeceased by one daughter, Wendy Joy Foster. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 27, 2007 at 2 pm from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Rev. George Feenstra and Rev. Gil MacKenzie officiating. Interment will be held in the Douglas Rural Cemetery.
