NORMA L. STAIRS
STAIRS, NORMA L. Norma Stairs of Temperance Vale passed away April 26, 2007 at Audrey's Special Care Home. Born at Jacksontown, NB. In 1913, she was the daughter of the late Sterling and Idella (Lawrence) Kirkbride. Norma spent many hours making quilts and she enjoyed sewing as well. Her quilts won many prizes at community fairs and exhibitions. She is survived by her one daughter, Bertha Cronkhite (Donald), Temperance Vale; four grandsons, David Cronkhite (Sheila) Calgary, AB; Ersul Cronkhite (Terri) Woodstock, NB; Allan Cronkhite (Susan) La Crete, AB; and Philip Cronkhite of Marysville; three grand daughters, Jane Christie (Roger) Central Waterville NB; Joan Cormier (Meddy) Moncton, NB; Helen Cronkhite (Brian Molendyk) Grand Prarie, AB; three sisters, Georgie Morse, Edith MacFarlane both of Woodstock, NB; and Winona Coleridge, Centerville; a sister-in-law Beatrice Stratton, Nackawic. Several nieces and nephews. Norma was predeceased by her husband Garland Stairs in 1974, two sisters, Freda McLean and Olga Kirkbride and by a brother, Earl Kirkbride. Resting at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic with visiting hours Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Blinn officiating. Interment will take place at the Temperance Vale Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Meddy Cormier, Roger Christie, Garth Christie, Philip Cronkhite, Ersul Cronkhite, and Bradley Cronkhite.
