FEENEY, ALICE GERTRUDE It is with great sadness that the family of Alice Gertrude (McDade) Feeney announce her passing on April 29, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Born on June 1, 1921 in Newmarket, NB, the third child of the late James McDade and Mary Ellen (Hurley) McDade, she was the wife of the late Arnold E. Feeney. Alice was the beloved mother of Gordon (Donna), Etobicoke, ON, Ellen Ann Lewis (Fred), Fredericton, Richard (Anne), Newmarket, Nancy Feeney Barrett (John), Fredericton. Cherished grandmother of Jeffrey (Jennifer), Tina (Andy), Rob (Melanie), Jonathan, Emily (Ted), Patty and Heather (Andrew). Blest with beautiful great grandchildren, Tyler, Kyle (and their mother Dawn), Alexander, Drew, Liam, Elizabeth, William, Emily Pearl, Kenley Anne, Pius, Alice Lily Mae, Madeline and Sophie. Also survived by sisters, Rita Painter and Dr. Dorothy McDade (John Bliss), brothers, Harold (Bud) McDade (Alma) and Tom McDade (Lulu) and sister-in-law Pauline McDade and numerous nieces and nephews. Special friends, Gerry Moffitt and Mary Murch. Alice was the heart and soul of her family and the homestead on Mountain Road was always a welcome spot for both family and friends. She loved life and took every opportunity to do the things she enjoyed. Alice played an integral role in her community, always ready to lend a helping hand. She was active in the Catholic Women's League, the York Liberal Association and various other community activities. Predeceased by sisters, Kathleen and Ann; brothers Alfred, Gregory, Walter and Donald; and infant daughter, Mary Elizabeth. Resting at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Highway 3, Harvey Station with visiting hours Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 415 Highway 3, Newmarket on Thursday, May 3, 2007 at 11 a.m. by Rev. David Martin. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
