SAVAGE, IRENE After completing her life's journey, Irene Savage (nee Chapman) of Gagetown Village passed away on May 6th, 2007. Mom was born in Gagetown to Hazel and Harry Chapman in December of 1921. She went to Nursing School in Niagara Falls as a young girl of 19 and was very proud to become a Registered Nurse, a profession that she practiced for most of her life. She married Donald Savage in June of 1952 and they had a family of three daughters, Katherine, Janet and Holly. Mom lived for many years in Saint John before retiring with Dad back to her hometown of Gagetown. We have a legacy of deep love and admiration for our Mom and share the memories, experiences and traditions of a remarkable woman who was kind and gracious. She is lovingly remembered by daughters, Katherine Baird (Leonard), Janet Savage (Robin Hennigar) and Holly Savage (David Conley); grandsons, John (Holly) Baird, Luke (Crystal) Baird, Logan Baird, Scott Conley; and great grandson, Brayden Baird; her brother, Charles Chapman; and his children, Sharon Sheehan and Greg Chapman; cousin, Russell London (Jeanette). Mom was predeceased by her husband, Donald Savage; her brother, James Chapman; and cousin, Beryl Downes. At Mom's request there will be no visitation and the funeral will be held at Grace United Church at 1:00 pm in Gagetown Village on Tuesday, May 8th, 2007. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Charity of choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John (634-1701).
