MCMURTRIE, FRANCES JANE MARGARET Frances J. M. McMurtrie of Lake George and formerly of New Maryland passed away May 17, 2007 at York Manor with her sister Edna and niece Kathy by her side. Frances was born at Harvey Station in 1913, a daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Jane (Messer) Cleghorn. She is survived by five sisters, Annie Miller, Dumfries, Hazel Holt, Harvey Station, Edna (Toad) Charters, Fredericton, Glenna Grant, Ottawa, ON and Eunice Cook, Oak Bay; a sister-in-law, Shirley Cleghorn, Harvey Station; a nephew, James Cleghorn and his wife Betty, Harvey Station and several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Frances was predeceased by her husband, Henry F. McMurtrie, a sister, Ruby Rideout and three brothers, Irvine, Vincent and Hazen Cleghorn. A graveside service will be held at the New Maryland United Church Cemetery on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 2 p.m. with Rev. William MacLeod officiating.
