JONES, HAZEN H. Hazen H. Jones of Cranberry Lane, Cheshire, died Sunday, May 13, 2007, at Waterbury Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Beulah (Chamberlin) Jones. Mr. Jones was born Dec. 30, 1925, in Prince William, N.B., and was the son of the late William, E. and Alice (Hood) Jones. He was a project engineer of the Uniroyal Co. of Naugatuck until his retirement in 1997. Mr. Jones graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. He earned his master's degree from the University of Toronto in Business Administration. He was a veteran in the HMCS Navy in Canada. Mr. Jones was a member of the Masons, Shriners and the Naugatuck Valley Genealogy Club. He was an avid golfer and also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Besides his loving wife, Hazen, leaves a son, Graeme and his wife, Doreen Jones of Southbury; a daughter, Leslie (Jones) and her husband, Paul Bulmer of Albany, N.Y,; a brother Ernest H. Jones of Fredericton, N.B.; three sisters, Violet Brewer of Prince William, N.B., Velma Stairs and Florence Bartlett, both of Fredericton, N.B.; also survived by five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Bertha Jones. Funeral services were held Thursday, May 17th.
