CHRISTIE, JOHN REED J. Reed Christie of Harvey Station passed away May 18, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Reed was born at Harvey Station in 1949, a son of John (Jack) and Thelma (Murphy) Christie. He was a heavy equipment operator and worked with the family business. He is survived by his beloved wife, MaryEllen (Randall) Christie; his sons, Leigh (Alisa) of Saint John and Kevin (Terri) of Harvey; his daughters, Tanya Copp (Neven) of McAdam, Elinor Christie of St. Stephen and Laura Bernard (Peter) of Harvey; his brothers, Eric (Betty Lou) of Harvey, Randy (Barbara) of Woodstock, Clay (Debbie) of British Columbia, Kim (Linda) of Woodstock, twin brothers, Dwight and Dwayne of Harvey; his sisters, Wina Parent of Fredericton and Karen Shaw (Darren) of McAdam; 11 grandchildren, J.R., Lindsay, Cohen, Becky, Jessie, Justin, Ryan, Rachel, Courtland, Julie and Taylor; three aunts; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Reed was predeceased by a daughter, Sheri Ann and a brother, Kent. Resting at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Highway 3, Harvey Station with visiting hours Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Harvey Station on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Bonnie Wynn officiating. Interment will follow in Harvey Settlement Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Dorcas, J. R. Christie, Richard Smith and Dick Gillespie. Active pallbearers will be Nelson Cole, Jack Goode, Jackie Randall, Brian Gillespie, Mike Harvey and Clay Christie.
