STAIRS, CATHERINE ELIZABETH (HANSON) Catherine E. (Hanson) Stairs of Fredericton, with family at her side, went home to be with her Saviour and Lord on May 18, 2007. Born on June 14, 1920 in Debec, NB, Catherine was the eldest daughter of William A. Hanson and A. Louise Hanson (Carr). She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Khoury of Fredericton and H. Mary Paul-Bradley (Peter) of Kingston, Ontario; four sons, Paul of Fredericton, Robert (Judy) of Keswick Ridge, Brian (Sandra) of Fredericton and Michael of Sheffield; seven granddaughters, Susan Khoury of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Alyson Paul of Kingston, Ontario, Shawna Quinn of Upper Gagetown, Leslie Paul-Plaster, Charlotte Davidson, Shasta Stairs, Carrie-Lynn Stairs, all from Fredericton; and two great grandsons, Joseph Paul Plaster and William Robert Stairs; two sisters, Evelyn McLaughlin of Fredericton and Wilma Folsom of Woodstock; and a nephew, Wayne Folsom of Woodstock. In addition to her parents, Catherine was predeceased by her husband, Harry W. Stairs; her sons, Weldon, Blaine and William; and her granddaughter, Sonya Khoury. Visitation will take place at the McLeod Hill Assembly of Christians, 171 McLeod Hill Road, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. The funeral service will also take place from the McLeod Hill Assembly on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at 2:00 pm. Officiating will be Wade LeBlanc from St. Stephen, NB. Pallbearers will be Reg Anderson, John McPhee, Greg Quinn, Steven Davidson, Peter Wilson, and Robert Wilkins. Honourary pallbearers will be Catherine's seven granddaughters. Interment will be in the Dayton Cemetery in Douglas, NB.
