CONNOR, ROBERT JOHN Robert J. Connor of Howland Ridge, NB passed away May 31, 2007 at Carleton Memorial Hospital. Born in Ireland in 1916, he was a son of the late Charles and Maud (Weir) Connor. Robert was a loving and caring husband and father who enjoyed the outdoors as a prospector, farmer, hunter and guide. Robert is survived by his wife, Gladys J. (Flemming) Connor; his children, Wanda Lagacy (Emilien), Howland Ridge, Brenda Foster, Johnville, Mary Cormier (Gerald), Richmond Corner, Charles Connor (Valerie), Killarney Road, Robert Connor (Phyllis), Howland Ridge, Kenneth Connor (Rosalie), Howland Ridge, Dorcas Price (Gary), Prince George, BC, Myrtle Corey (Neil), Howland Ridge and Jeffery Connor, Prince George, BC; nineteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; a sister, Phoebe Henderson, Oromocto; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Doris Chambers and Aileen Hawkins and two brothers, Charles and James Connor. Resting at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic with visiting hours Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Monday, June 4, 2007 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Don MacDougall officiating. Interment will be in Hawkins Corner Cemetery.
