JONAH, GERALD PORTER The passing of Gerald Porter Jonah of Doaktown, NB, husband of Willa (Palmer) Jonah, occurred on Friday, June 15, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 12, 1942 in Doaktown, NB, he was the son of the late Charles and Marjorie (Porter) Jonah. Gerald was a truck driver as well as a school bus driver for District #18, Boiestown. He was a member of St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Doaktown and enjoyed going on his four- wheeler. In addition to his wife, Gerald is survived by three sons, Jerry (Lori) Jonah of Storeytown, NB, Jody Jonah of Revel Stoke, BC and Corey Jonah of Doaktown, NB; one daughter, Cheryl Jonah (Kenny) of New Bandon, NB; seven grandchildren, Chanelle and Curtis Robinson, Megan, Dakota, Morgan, Desiree and Nicholas Jonah; one brother, Richard Jonah of BC; one sister, Kay (Paul) Gillespie of Doaktown, NB; several nieces and nephews and his dogs, Barney and Koda. Besides his parents, Gerald was predeceased by one brother, Douglas; and his infant sister, Lana. Visitation will take place at the family home, 111 Main Street, Doaktown, NB, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Graveside Service will take place on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at 10 am at the old St. Andrews Anglican Church Cemetery with Rev. Andrew Fraser officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital (MRI Machine) or to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
