Pickard Phyllis Joyce Pickard (nee Wilson), aged 92 years, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at the Ross Payant Centennial Home, Alzheimer's Wing Assiniboia, with her family at her side. Phyllis was born in Moose Jaw on December 19, 1915. She is predeceased by daughter Beverley (at age 6), parents Hazel and Bob Wilson, husband Cyril, grandson-in-law Kevin Cronan and numerous brother and sisters-in-law and one niece. She will be sadly missed by her son Bob (Shirley) Assiniboia, Barry (Mel) Crane Valley; sister Shirley Boothman and special niece Gail Fenwick, sister-in-law Virginia Pickard, all of Moose Jaw and brother-in-law Eddie Harrison of Calgary; beloved grandchildren Lisa Cronan, of Calgary Steve (Marlee) Pickard of Aidrie; Renee (Christian) Kelly of Winnipeg; Bobbie-Jo (Jason) Dalton of Calgary and beloved great-grandchildren Emma Cronan, Karli & Morgan Pickard and Joshua Dalton. Funeral services were held at the Alliance Church in Assiniboia on October 8, 2008 with Pastor Greg Dermody presiding. Gail Fenwick and Virgina Pickard delivered a very touching Eulogy. Honorary Pallbearers were Ellen Arnold, Eva & Wayne Spicer, Gail Fenwick, Pearl Lee and "all those who shared in Phyllis's life". Acting Pallbearers were Dr. Blaine Pickard, Mark Pickard, Rodney Pickard, Lorne Voinorosky, Floyd Spicer and Arnold Montgomery. Internment %C2%A0followed at the Rosedale Cemetery in Moose Jaw where Phyllis was laid to rest with her beloved husband Cyril. Donations in memory of Phyllis can be made to the Alzheimer's Society. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ross Funeral Service of Assiniboia, SK
