LEDWIDGE, CATHERINE E. Catherine E. Ledwidge, Enfield, passed away at the V.G. Site, Halifax, Thursday, July 5, 2007. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of Helen (MacPhee/Isenor) MacLean, Enfield, and the late Kenneth Isenor. Cathy was a resident of Enfield for the past 37 years and formerly of Lantz. She was employed with Maritime Tel and Tel and retired from Aliant in 2003. She enjoyed reading, traveling, working countless hours with Ernis and spending time with her granddaughter. Cathy was a race official at various racetracks throughout the Maritimes starting in 1982 at Onslow Speedway before moving on to Riverside Speedway (Antigonish), New Brunswick International Speedway (Fredericton), Scotia Speedworld (Halifax) and most recently with the Maritime Pro Stock Tour. Surviving are her husband Ernie; son Michael (Gail) and Granddaughter Samantha, Elmsdale; sisters Inez (Herb) Nelson, Caledonia; Susan (Jerry) McGuire, Lantz; brothers Martin (Cathy), Dutch Settlement; Vernon (Sheila), Burlington, ON; Victor, Shubenacadie; Peter, Elmsdale; Graham, Winnipeg, MN; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased recently by her sister Beverly (Bob) Reid. Cremation has taken place. Visitation 6-9 pm Sunday in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Main Street, Shubenacadie with Funeral Mass at 1 pm Monday in St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, Enfield, father Andrew Rembarczyk presiding.
