
RONALD "RONNIE" GEORGE SOWERS
SOWERS, RONALD "RONNIE" GEORGE The passing of Ronald "Ronnie" George Sowers, of Saint John, NB, occurred on Friday, July 27th, 2007 at the Loch Lomand Villa. Born on June 9th, 1932 in Keswick, NB, he was a son of the late Charles and Velma (Hawkins) Sowers. Ronnie had worked numerous jobs throughout his life; working as a ferry operator in Burton, NB, worked in the bag factory in Barker's Point, NB, Acadia Forestry and also worked on the family farm for several years where he enjoyed working with horses. Ronnie is survived by one daughter, Kimberly (Randy) Dutcher of Lincoln, NB; one son, Charles (Natalie) Sowers of Lower Maugerville, NB; four grandchildren; four sisters, Wanita Briggs of Sheffield, NB, Dianna Lapointe of Fredericton, NB, Joyce (Gary) Keats of Gagetown, NB and Anne (Shirley) Curtis of Lakeville Corner, NB; three brothers, Gerald (Barbara) Sowers of Chatham, ON, Glenwood (Mildred) Sowers and John (Judy) Sowers both of Sheffield, NB; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Ronnie was predeceased by one son, Barry; and brother-in-law, Waldon Briggs. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, July 31st, 2007 from 12 to 2 pm with the service to follow at 2 pm from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be, Doug Sowers, Murray Bulmer, Stewart Upton, Bliss Johnson, Shirley Curtis and Bev Thompson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Harry Bridges, Harold Sowers and Earl Nash. Interment will take place at the Lakeville Corner Baptist Cemetery.
