LILLIAN MARGARET DOOHAN

DOOHAN, LILLIAN MARGARET Lillian Margret Doohan, of Duncan Lane, Fredericton, NB wife of Rev. J.W. Doohan, went to be with her Lord on Monday, August 27, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 19, 1921 in Hawarden, Saskatchewan, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Wiggins) Johnston. Lillian was a member of Devon Park Baptist Church. She was a faithful and devoted wife and mother. Lillian served as a church organist and as a Sunday school teacher. She was well known for her gracious hospitality. She will be remembered as a loving grandmother, great grandmother and faithful friend. Lillian is survived by her husband of 63 years, Rev. James Walter Doohan; two daughters, Judi Cormier (Roger) of Maugerville, Linda Powers (Mark) of Salisbury; three sons, John (Ruth) of Belleisle Creek, Doug (Wanda) of Wooster, Ohio, Patrick (Jo-Anne) of Summerside, PEI; 18 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Haughton and Doug and an infant sister. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Devon Park Baptist Church, Fredericton, NB on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at 2 pm with Rev. Bob Dunlop and Rev. Arthur Sheppard officiating. Interment will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Hanwell, NB. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Fredericton Veteran's Health Unit, to Devon Park Baptist Church or to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.
