Flora LaSalle (nee Fowler) passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 30th, 2008 at Moose Jaw Union Hospital. Flora was born on the farm at Glasnevin, Saskatchewan on July 11th, 1915. A Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, November 4th at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home for family and friends with Pastor Marv Seaborg officiating. Flora was predeceased by her husband John, and in later years her dear friend James "Jim" Smith; her father William; mother Margaret; sisters Margaret, Isabel and Muriel; brothers Alec, John and William "Bill"; grandson Shane Smith; son-in-law Delano Smith and many friends. She is survived by her son John "Jack" LaSalle; daughter Brenda Smith; grandchildren Delaine (Adam), Lynley (Ryan) and Christopher; great-grandchildren Alysha, Rylan, Sean, Shya and Jacoby; sisters-in-law Lola Fowler and Murna Curtis, and numerous nieces and nephews. The middle child of a large family, her favorite memories were of old time school dances, playing the violin with her dad and socializing. Her recent years were spent with her family and her great-grandchildren playing at her feet. She will be dearly missed by all.
