BREWER, IRENE GERTRUDE The passing of Irene Gertrude Brewer, of Burtt's Corner, NB wife of Ralph Brewer, occurred on Friday, September 14, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital . Born on July 14, 1927 in Jones Forks, NB, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Edna (White) Dunphy. Irene was a member of the Burtt's Corner Baptist Church; Dominion Life member of the Woman's Missionary Society, she was very active in all church activities. She enjoyed knitting, quilting and was known for her generosity and acts of compassion. In addition to her husband Ralph, Irene is survived by her daughters, Carolyn and Kathleen Brewer of Burtt's Corner, NB; sons, Paul Brewer (Joan) of Fredericton, NB, Perley Brewer (Patricia) of Fredericton, NB and Goolie (Gail) Brewer of New Maryland, NB ; sister, Georgia Jewett of Kentville, NS; brothers, Philemon Lawrence (Florence) of Burtt's Corner, NB, Eldon Dunphy (Geraldine) of Douglas, NB, Murray Dunphy (Marlene) of Nanaimo, BC and Lorne Dunphy (Jean) of Cobble Hill, BC; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Irene is predeceased by sister, Dorothy Williams; brothers, James Dunphy, Victor and Lauriston Lawrence. Visitation will take place at the Burtt's Corner Baptist Church on Saturday, September 15, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from the church on Sunday, September 16, 2007 at 3 pm with Rev. David Wellwood and Rev. Dean Annis officiating. Interment will take place in Burtt's Corner Cemetery.
