Mrs. Lorraine White (nee Young) age 67, of Moose Jaw passed away peacefully on November 3, 2008 with family by her side. Born September 4, 1941, Lorraine grew up in Stony Beach. She married the love of her life Bruce White on August 27, 1960 and are now reunited and dancing together in Heaven. She loved working in her yard and was well known for how beautiful it was. She loved birds and especially her dog, Toby. Lorraine's family and friends were so very important to her - nothing meant more. She was an amazing mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and aunt with an infectious laugh and will greatly missed by all who knew her. Predeceased by Bruce September 12, 1999 and her father Morris Young, she is survived by her mother, Gertie Young - Moose Jaw, daughter, Cindy (Weldon) Scherger; grandchildren: Melanie, Ian and Philip of Shaunavon, and son, Mervin (Debbie) of Harlingen, Texas. A Celebration of Lorraine's Life will be held on Monday, November 10, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel. Family memorialization will take place at a later time. Memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society, 61B Ross St.W., Moose Jaw, S6H 2M2, or to The Gideon's, Box 3619, Stn. Main, Guelph, ON, N1H 9Z9, would be appreciated.
