BILL WATSON

WATSON, BILL The passing of Bill Watson, of Fredericton, NB, husband of Eleanor (Hamilton) Watson, occurred on Sunday, December 16, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on December 12, 1941 in Saint John, NB he was a son of the late Joseph and Bearl (Hatfield) Watson. Bill was a member of Smythe Street Cathedral and also a member of the Fredericton Model Railroad Club. He retired from the Maritime Forestry Complex as a security officer in 1999. Bill had a tremendous impact on those who he came in contact with. In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by one son, Joseph Watson of St. Catherine's, ON; two step-sons, Steven (Juanita) Fraser of Fredericton, NB and Mark (Jocelyne) Fraser of Sussex, NB; three grandchildren, Carter Watson of Collingwood, ON, Sarah and Daniel Fraser both of Fredericton, NB; one sister, Martha Watson; and one sister-in-law, Gail Watson both of Windsor, ON; one brother-in-law, Douglas (Sharon) Hamilton of Fredericton, NB; in-laws, Cecil and Jessie Hamilton of Fredericton, NB; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by one son, Jeffery; one daughter-in-law, Carol Watson; and two brothers, Gordon and Daniel. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Smythe Street Cathedral, Fredericton, NB on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at 2 pm with Pastor Verner Drost officiating. Interment will take place in the Alexander Gibson Memorial Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Smythe Street Cathedral, Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
