MANNING, MICHAEL N. The passing of Michael Manning, of Riverview, occurred suddenly on Monday, December 17, 2007 at his winter residence in Clearwater Florida, he was 59 years old. Michael is survived and will be sadly missed his wife of 24 years, Nancy (Hopper); son, Eric Manning (Shelby Fallon); stepdaughter, Jeanne Sayre (Brett Kenny); and grandchildren, Emily and Jonah Kenny, all of Fredericton; brother, Patrick Manning (Colleen) of Riverview; sister, Penny Mackenzie (Jim Stephens) of Burlington Ontario; nephews, Sean, Colin and niece Samantha. Michael is predeceased by his mother Eileen and father Eric. Michael was born in Amherst, N.S. and raised in Riverview, N.B. He was active in Football and Sailing in his younger years. He later joined the Royal Canadian Navy and served for 7 years. Michael helped build and develop Controls and Equipment Ltd in the Maritimes. Michael and Nancy enjoyed their home on the St. John River in Upper Gagetown where he enjoyed boating and was an active bird and wildlife enthusiast. For the past three years they have enjoyed their retirement in Florida and made many new friends. Michael was a true family man and was always active in his community. He loved reading history books and was passionate, spending several years, researching his family genealogy. Michael was a well liked, humble and generous man whose infectious laughter and sense of humor will be greatly missed.
