BOURGEOIS, (BASTARACHE) RITA 1921-2007 NOTRE-DAME DE KENT, NB - Rita Bourgeois (Bastarache) of Notre-Dame de Kent, formerly of Moncton, passed away on December 20th, 2007 at the age of 86 at the Dr. Georges-L. DuMont Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Notre-Dame de Kent on November 2nd, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Alyre Bastarache and the late Emma Bourgeois. She attended the Cathedrale Notre-Dame de L'Assomption, and she was a member of the Club D'Age D'Or Notre-Dame de L'Assomption. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Clarence Bourgeois; her three sons, Louis and Roger, Fredericton, NB and Georges (Suzan LeBlanc), Moncton, NB; four sisters, Lina Leblanc (late Edgar), Moncton, NB, Marie Sansone (Frany), New Hampshire, USA, Anna Boucher, Moncton, NB and Elisa Bastarache, Shediac, NB; one brother, Francois Bastarache (late Stella Richard), Notre-Dame de Kent, NB; a granddaughter Jessica; several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by one infant daughter, Georgette, two brothers Celestin and Emile at a younger age. Resting at the Coopérative Funeraire Passage Funeral Co-Operative Shediac-Bridge, NB. Visitation to take place on Wednesday, December 26th from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at La Cathédrale Notre-Dame de L'Assomption in Moncton, NB, Thursday, December 27th at 11 am. Interment at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Chartersville later in the spring. If so desired, a memorial donation to the Fondation Dr. Georges-L DuMont Hospital or the donor's choice would be appreciated.
