NORMAN HARRY WALL
WALL, NORMAN HARRY The death of Norman Harry Wall of Oromocto, NB, occurred at home on Monday, January 7th, 2008. Born in Montreal, PQ, he was the son of the late Harry and Rosa (Simonds) Wall and husband of the late Clara Emilie (Scott) Wall. Norm was a WWII Veteran and served over 33 years in the Canadian Forces. He was a member of the Black Watch Battalion and later the 2 RCR. He was also an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed golf and hockey. He is survived by his son, Norman (Rosemary) of Barrington Passage, NS; daughters, Marguerite Gillespie (Wayne) of Charlottetown, PE, Sheila Snow (Jim) of Burton, NB and Carol Wall of Oromocto, NB; grandchildren, Jason (Lisa) and Robert (fiancé, Denise) Snow, Joel, Matthew (Erin) and Susan Gillespie as well as Jared and Stephanie Wall; great-grandchild, Owen Gillespie; brothers, Donald (Susan) and Harry (Lena) all of Montreal, PQ; sisters, Bernice Gallotti and Joan Weippert both of Montreal, PQ as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Norman was predeceased by his wife, Clara in 2000; his parents, Harry and Rosa as well as his brother, Fred. Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home, 108 Winnebago St. (357-5100), on Thursday, January 10th, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #93 as well as the Black Watch Association will hold a tribute service at 7 pm on Thursday evening. The funeral service will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Friday, January 11th, 2008 at 12 noon. Rev. Ken Weir officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in Norm's honor may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Church Building Fund or to a charity of the donor's choice. www.oromoctofh.com
