RAYMOND WILLIAM SHORTALL
SHORTALL, RAYMOND WILLIAM 1937-2008 South Branch Kent CO., NB - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond Shortall, 70, at the Moncton City Hospital on January 12, 2008. Born on July 19, 1937, in South Branch, he was the son of the late Dan and Annie (Connors) Shortall. He was a retired truck driver from A.A. Albert and Sons, where he was employed for many years. He was also a devoted member of the Saint Peters Roman Catholic Church in South Branch. As well as spending time with his grandchildren, he loved to go to his camp in the woods and tinker at most anything that had wheels or tracks. He was a great believer that everything should be kept because it might come in handy. Raymond will be sadly missed by his wife of 48 years, Phyllis (Murphy) Shortall; his two sons, David (Juanita) of Mount Uniacke, N.S. and Troy (Lynn) of South Branch; his two daughters, Elaine (Gerard) Krawchuk and Karen (Dan) Boisvert, both of Child's Creek; and his seven loving grandchildren, Danielle, Sean, Paige, Blayne, Hanna, Ryan and Eryn. He is also survived by a brother, Paul (Mary), Sussex; and his five sisters, Marg Doherty of Fredericton, Helen Bushey of Miramichi, Ruth Grattan of Fredericton, Kathleen Brown of Saint Louis de Kent, Mary (Bill) Wood of Rowley, Mass, U.S.A; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, James (Mabel) of South Branch in 1996. Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home with visitation Wednesday and Thursday (9am-10am). Funeral Mass was held at St. Peters Roman Catholic Church, South Branch on Thursday, January 17th, 2008 at 10:30 am. Interment took place in the Parish Cemetery.
