CARLISLE, JOYCE P. The passing of Joyce Priscilla Carlisle, formerly of Mactaquac, NB, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008. She was 82. Born May 29th, 1925 in Rusagonis, NB, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Laura (Greer) Phillips. Joyce was a member of the Mactaquac United Baptist Church, the Women's Missionary Society and the Ridgeview Seniors Club. Joyce is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Nicholson (Rick) of Moncton; a granddaughter, Brittany Alicia Nicholson of Moncton; brothers, Archie Phillips (Hazel) of Riverview and Darrell Phillips (Mary) of New Maryland; sisters, Virginia Chase (Sewell) of Marysville, Marilla Fletcher of Sussex, Norma Phillips (Fred) of Charters Settlement and Carolyn Goss (James) of Quispamsis; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; her husband Harry W. Carlisle; two sons, Stephen and Norman; siblings, Ester Kirkpatrick, Margaret West, Marion Waugh, Eileen Carr, Merle Moffitt, Gerald Phillips and Fred Phillips. Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, where visitation will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from the Mactaquac United Baptist Church on Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Chad Fletcher will officiate. Spring interment in the church cemetery.
