DION, ALFRED (FRED) LORENZO Formally of Fredericton, NB, Fred Dion passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer in Toronto. Born January 4, 1953 to the late Lorenzo (Joe) and Beatrice (Maillett) Dion. Fred is survived by his wife, Sandy (Smith) of Toronto; his children, Michael (Jennifer) Dion, April (Stan) Dion; a granddaughter, Taylor Dion; stepdaughter, Lisa Smith; his brother, Stephen (Karen) Dion of Moncton; and sisters, Adrienne (Bob) Coy of Florida, Alice McInerney of Fredericton, Rita (Joe) Babineau of Moncton, Gisele (Jim) Brown of Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Fred was predeceased by a sister, Lorraine Desjardin. A memorial service was held in Toronto on Wednesday, February 13, 2008. Fred was a Master Stone Mason by trade and co-owned Bedrock Construction in Toronto for many years. He will be greatly missed by all of us. Rest in peace Freddy.....
