HICKEY, DONALD FRASER Donald F. Hickey of Temperance Vale, husband of Geraldine M. (MacFarlane) Hickey, passed way on March 7, 2008 at his home. Born at Springfield, York Co. in 1921, he was a son of the late W. Wilson and Arvilla A. (Stairs) Hickey. Donald was a member of the Temperance Vale United Pentecostal Church. Donald is survived by his wife; two daughters, Louise Collicott (Lloyd), Canterbury and Muriel Stairs (Alton), Stairs Hill Road; three sons, Arnold Hickey (Charlotte), Temperance Vale, Ronald Hickey (Carol), Rocky Mountain House, AB and Merle Hickey (Diane), Oshawa, ON; fourteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Lena Saunders, Gagetown; two brothers, Mike Hickey (Lorraine), McAdam and Chester Hickey (Marjorie), Oromocto Lake; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Donald was predeceased by four sisters, Mary Ingraham, Beatrice Scott, Verna Saunders and Eva Trail; two brothers, Wesley and Stanley Hickey and a granddaughter, Michelle Stairs. Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Terry Brewer. Interment will be later at Temperance Vale Cemetery.
