DUNPHY, VELMA GRACE The passing of Velma Grace Dunphy of Boiestown, NB, wife of Vernon Dunphy, occurred on March 15, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 17, 1939 in Doaktown, NB, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Nora (O'Donnell) Robinson. She was a licensed practical nurse with the Central New Brunswick Nursing Home, Boiestown, NB. Velma was a member of St. Peters and St. James Anglican Church and lead very active community life. Besides her husband Vernon, Velma is survived by her daughter, Roxanne (Paul) Creelman of Beaverbank, NS; son, Greg (Colleen) Dunphy of Parker's Ridge, NB; grandchildren, Derek and Julie Dunphy, Abbey and Shawn Creelman; brothers, Michael (Barbara Ward) Robinson of Doaktown, NB, Ernest (Diane) Robinson of Fredericton, NB and Leon Robinson (Bonnie) of PE; sisters-in-law, June Robinson of Doaktown, NB and Norma Robinson of New Bandon, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Velma was predeceased by sister, Anna Robinson; brothers, Melvin Jr. (Sonny), Robert and Bill Robinson. Although there will be no visitation by request, a Funeral Service will take place at St. Peters Church on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 2 pm with Father Andrew Fraser officiating. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Jean Calhoun Memorial Scholarship fund or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
