ELLEN ELIZABETH KILBRIDE

KILBRIDE, ELLEN ELIZABETH Ellen Elizabeth Kilbride of Fredericton, NB, passed away at the Pine Grove Nursing Home on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at the age of 100. Born in Chatham, NB, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Ethel (England) Flieger and the wife of the late Leo Kilbride. Ellen worked for 12 years as a court reporter in Fredericton. During this period she travelled about the province with the different judges of the Supreme Court. She was an avid reader who enjoyed painting and her cottage at Burnt Church on Miramichi Bay. There she gathered with her sisters, sons, nephews, nieces, grandsons and their wives. She was survived in her immediate family by two sons, Terry (Ferne) Kilbride of Fredericton and Stanley Kilbride of Toronto; two siblings - brother, Donald (Kay) Flieger of Kitchener, ON and a sister, Edith Molyneux of Windsor, ON. Additional direct line descendants were her two grandchildren by her son Terry and his wife Ferne, Chris (Mylene) Kilbride of Montreal and Rob (Tina) Kilbride of Long Sault, ON. Additional members of her immediate family now deceased were three brothers, Ned, Stafford and Art; and two sisters, Marguerite and Nina. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at Wilmot United Church on Saturday, April 5th, 2008 at 2:00 pm. with Rev. Chris Levan officiating. Interment will be in Miramichi at a later date.
