MACLEAN, INA GERTRUDE The passing of Ina Gertrude MacLean, wife of the late Walter F. MacLean, of Fredericton, occurred on April 2, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born on February 13, 1928 in Williamsburg, NB, she was a daughter of the late Steve and Pearl (Turnbull) Merrill. Ina was a waitress at Joe's Diner and later was employed as a clerk at the Goody Shop, Albert Street, Fredericton. She is survived by one daughter, Bev MacLean of Fredericton; special daughters, Linda Rolfe and Stacy Thomas of Ontario; grandson, Shawn MacKinnon (Tara) of Stanley; great granddaughter, Claire MacKinnon; two sisters, Hilda Dorcas and Marjorie Hay; five brothers, Gordon Dorcas, Keith Dorcas, Roy Merrill, Elwood Merrill and Austin Merrill and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by chosen parents, Blanche and Doug Dorcas; special friend, Frank Thomas; sister, Marion Gullison; and four brothers, Bill Dorcas, Fred Merrill, Frank Merrill and Howard Merrill. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 2 pm with Rev. David Brewer officiating. Interment will take place at Sunny Bank Cemetery at a later date.
