McKAY, RITA MARY The death of Rita M. McKay of Waasis, NB occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008. Born in Bathurst, NB she was the daughter of the late Louis and Isabelle (Mullen) Duguay and wife of Jim McKay. Survived by her husband, Jim; her children, Mona Leung (Jim) of Calgary, AB and their children, Benjamin and Christopher, Joseph McSorley of Fredericton, NB and his children, Billy and Jessica, and Jamie McSorley (Susan) of Moncton, NB and their daughter, Josie; her siblings, Linda Duguay, Charles Duguay (Winnie), Leona LeBreton (John Paul), Peter Duguay (Mona), Patsy Fairley (Mike) and Janet MacAloon (Mike); her brother-in-law, Gerald Parker as well as several nieces and nephews. Rita is predeceased by her parents and brothers, Riel and Gerald. The family wishes to thank all the nursing staff at the Oromocto Public Hospital as well as Dr. Snell for all of their kind and compassionate care given to Rita. There will be no visitation by request. A private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in Rita's honor may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
