BROOKS, BERT DAVID Bert D. Brooks of Woodstock, NB passed away unexpectedly at Hartfield, NB on April 4, 2008. Bert was born at Bath, NB in 1959, a son of Bert Cronkhite and the late Rose (O'Donnell) Brooks. He is survived by his companion, Janet E. Murray; two daughters, Kandise Currie (Jamie) and Erica Brooks (Jessie), both of Nackawic; a son, Matthew Brooks, Hartfield; four grandchildren, Natasha and Mason Brooks, Ashley and Haley Currie; his father, Bert Cronkhite, Southampton; six brothers, Dwight O'Donnell, Bath, Donald Brooks (Gail), Keith Brooks (Paula), Floyd Cronkhite (Kim), all of Southampton, Shawn Cronkhite (Patty), Beechwood, Doug O'Donnell (Lucy), Woodstock; seven sisters, Susan Miller (Jeff), Upper Kent, Patricia Byram (Mike), Bristol, Beverly Davenport (Ronald), Upper Kent, Nina Brooks (Robert), Woodstock, Valerie Gaunce (Seth), Beechwood, Sheila Keetch (Kevin), Upper Queensbury and Marilyn Cronkhite, Southampton; two step-children, Paul and Heather Murray, Saint John; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, Bert was predeceased by three nieces, Jessie, Layla and Madinson. Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Carl and Evelyn Brewer officiating. Interment will be in Lenentine Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Brooks and Brian Drost. Pallbearers will be Jamie Currie, Trevor Brooks, Tommy Brooks, David Leslie, Kevin Keetch and Robert Hatheway.
