CANNING, MADELINE MARTHA JANE The death of Madeline (Harding) Canning of Queenstown, NB occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital on April 5th, 2008. She was born March 25th, 1936 to Ida (Thompson) and the late Emlyn Harding. Madeline is survived by four children, Willard (Irene) Parker, David (Tanya Lyons) Parker, Laura-Lee (Howard) Bowling and Linda (Ron) Bowling; six siblings, Cyril, William, Bobby, Preston, Violet and May; seventeen grandchildren; one great-grandchild as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Madeline is predeceased by her first husband, Stanley Parker; second husband, Arnum Canning; one son, Cyril Parker and one brother, Steven Harding. There will be no visitation by Madeline's request. A memorial service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Smythe Street, Fredericton) on Saturday, April 26th, 2008 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Madeline would be appreciated by the family.
