GAINES, GLENNA Glenna Gaines of Fredericton, formerly of Aroostook, NB, passed away at the W. G. Bishop Nursing Home in Minto on April 9, 2008. She was 95. The daughter of Priscella and Rupert Harris, Glenna was born in Hartland, NB September 7, 1912. She taught in various schools in Victoria Co. and helped her husband Victor run a service station and grocery store. Glenna loved to travel and study, receiving her B.A. and B. Ed. Glenna is survived by her son, Leonard (Gerene Greene); grandchildren, Michael (Kelly Gorham) and William (Susan Bishop); daughter, Harriet (Glen Rutledge); grandchildren Andrew and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Sarah and Kate Gaines; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband, Victor; sisters, Harriet Kennedy and Edna Albright. No visitation by request. A Memorial Service will be held from the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Sunday, April 13, 2008 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Larry Matthews will officiate. Interment will take place in the Perth-Andover Presbyterian Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, memorial tributes in Glenna's memory may be made to the W.G. Bishop Nursing Home or to the charity of the donor's choice.
