CAMPBELL, GEORGENA REVA (DORCAS) The passing of Georgena Reva (Dorcas) Campbell, wife of George D. Campbell, of Fredericton, occurred on April 13, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton. Born on September 16, 1937, in Cross Creek, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Hilda (Hossack) Dorcas. Georgena was formerly the Executive Secretary to the Mayor of the City of Fredericton for 34 years. Besides her husband, she is survived by her sister, Anne J. Coughlan of Fredericton; sister-in-law, Peggy Anderson (Lenwood) of Stanley; special nieces, Angela Boudreau (Mike) and family of Chipman, Carla Dionne (The Late Donald) and family of Stanley and June Ellen Campbell of Lincoln; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one sister infant Verna Dorcas; and one brother, Robert Dorcas. Although there will be no visitation, a Memorial Service will be held from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, April 18, 2008 at 2 pm with The Rev. Elaine Hamilton officiating. Interment will take place in the Lower Lincoln Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations made to the Chalmers Hospital Foundation, the Kidney Foundation, Shriners Hospital for sick children, IWK Hospital or the CNIB would be appreciated by the family.
