HIGGINS, VERNON (SKINNY) ANDREW BENJAMIN (BARRY) The death of Vernon (Skinny) Andrew Benjamin (Barry) Higgins, of Chipman, occurred Monday, April 21st, 2008 at the Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Minto, he was the son of the late Howard and Bessie (Knox) Higgins. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by his long time companion and special friend, Connie Higgins; 2 nieces, Colleen Stafford (Greg) and Debbie Cormier (Jerry); a nephew, Bryan Dykeman (Myrna) all of Chipman; several great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, great great nephews and his little buddy Pal. Vernon was predeceased by a brother, Welsley Higgins; a sister, Vivian Dykeman; and a nephew, Marven Dykeman. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday afternoon from 2 to 4pm at the Minto Funeral Home, Minto (327-3490) and on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9pm at the Grand Lake Community Chapel, 43 Main Street, Chipman (339-5522). Funeral service will be held 2:00PM, Wednesday, April 23th, 2008 at the Christian Life Centre, Chipman with Pastor Dennis Sisco officiating.
