HAZEL JOYE LYNCH
LYNCH, HAZEL JOYE Hazel Joye Lynch, wife of the late Paul H. Lynch, passed away on April 20, 2008 at the DECRH surrounded by her family. Our Mom was born in Peace River, Alberta in 1924. She was one of five children born to the late Freda (Robinson) and Percy Bisson who had left the Gaspe to become homesteaders in Alberta. Mom was predeceased by brothers, Douglas and James. Mom is survived by her three loving children, Budd (Carol), Randy and Gaye (George Dybenko); and two grandchildren, Andrew and Laura. She is also survived by her sisters, June Ash (Gordon) and Nell Larsen from Alberta as well as several nieces and nephews. Mom and Dad met in Whitehorse, Yukon where Mom was working as a civilian telephone operator and Dad was stationed with the Air Force after the war. They returned east to Dad's hometown of Fredericton where they married in 1948. Fredericton remained their home where they were active members in the community. Mom was a successful businesswoman owning hair salons and a gift boutique for many years. She was a long time member of the Capital Winter Club and the Fredericton Golf Club. For the past two years Mom resided at Pine Grove Nursing Home where she received exceptional care. We were comforted knowing she was treated with such compassion and dignity. Special thanks to Dr. Susan Fenzl and the caring staff at 4NW, DECRH. Visitation will take place at Bishop's Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Rd. on Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm. A memorial service will be held at Saint Anne's Chapel of Ease, Westmorland Street on Wednesday at 1:00 pm with Rev. Anthony Kwaw assisted by the Venerable John Sharpe.
