LAWRENCE ALLAN LOVELACE
LOVELACE, LAWRENCE ALLAN The passing of Lawrence Allan Lovelace "Toad", husband of the late, Flossie Lovelace, of Taxis River, occurred on April 21, 2008 at his home. Born on May 2, 1927 in Hayesville, he was a son of the late Earl and Beatrice (Munn) Lovelace. He was a heavy equipment operator for Ashley Colters. Toad enjoyed hunting, fishing and telling tall tales. Lawrence is survived by three sons, Danny (Jeanie) of Ludlow, Craig (Jonathan Coghlan) of Virginia Beach, VA and Andy (Christine) of Moncton; two daughters, Sonya McAlwee (Brian MacKay) of Hayesville and Sheila Lovelace of Taxis River; his grandchildren, Melissa, Peter (Tanya), Belinda, Nicholas, Kimberly, Evan, Lindsey, Jessica, Samantha and Andrea; his great-grandchildren, Austin, Brittany and Joshua; sisters, Margaret Norrad (Cecil) of Bloomfield, Lily Spencer and Rita Munn (Harold) both of Hayesville; brothers, Carl of Boiestown, Glen (Etta), Tommy (Judy), Arthur (Doreen) all of Hayesville and Charlie (Eva) of Holtville; special friend, Alice Gallagher. In addition to his parents and wife, Lawrence was predeceased by his sisters, Lulabelle and Mary; bother, Steven. Visitation will take place at Ridgeway Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at the church on Friday, April 25, 2008 at 2 pm with Pastor Rick Bruce officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be Terry Calhoun, Brian Spencer, Weldon Norrad, Tony Lovelace, Jeff and Gary Munn. Interment will take place at Parkers Ridge Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
