MCGIBBON, LLOYD SAMUEL The passing of Lloyd Samuel McGibbon of Douglas, NB, husband of Dorena (Sulllivan) McGibbon, occurred on Saturday, April 26th, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 7th, 1922 in Scotch Settlement, NB, he was the son of the late Addie (Allen) and Garner McGibbon. In addition to his wife, Lloyd is survived by his daughters, Carolyn (Bill) Sutton of Prescott, ON, Connie (Pat) Lagerlof of Calgary, AB, Susan (Stuart) Eccles of Ottawa, ON; sons, Terry (Carolyn) Burpee of Keswick Ridge, NB, David (Yu ling) McGibbon of Calgary, AB; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Carr of Fredericton, NB and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Lloyd was predeceased by first wife, Ruth York; sisters, Louise McGibbon, Mary Middleton and three brothers. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, May 1st, 2008 at 3 pm with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will take place in Dayton Cemetery.
