LEBANS, LORRAINE V. Mrs. Lorraine V. Lebans, formerly of Barnettville, passed away at the Moncton City Hospital on Wednesday, April 30th, 2008 after a brief illness. She was 83 years old. Since 2003, she had been living with her daughter and son-in-law in Moncton. Born in Blackville, she was the daughter of the late Mabel (Walls) and Frederick Mountain. She attended Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Blackville and St. Philip's Anglican Church in Moncton. Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Keitha Sobey (Ashley) of Moncton; her son, William K. (Bill)(Linda) of Fredericton; four grandchildren, Erin Budd, Anne Lebans and William Lebans of Fredericton, and Barbara Sobey of Halifax; two great-grandchildren, Kate and Benjamin Budd; two sisters, Winnifred Rees of Montreal, Lois Grady of Blackville; sister-in-law Shirley J. Dunphy of Fredericton and several nieces and nephews. Lorraine was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Franklin Lebans, her brother, Alison Mountain and her grandson Ross Sobey. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Lady Chapel of the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Blackville, with visitation today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The Funeral Service will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Blackville on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 2 pm with Father Douglas Barrett officiating, assisted by Father Kevin Borthwick. Interment will be in the church cemetery, at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, instead of flowers, donations could be made to Holy Trinity Anglican Church Memorial Fund, or the Palliative Care Unit of the Moncton Hospital.
