MCGUIRE, JOYCE ROWENA Joyce R. (Dickinson) McGuire of Woodstock and formerly of Nackawic, NB, passed away May 4, 2008 at Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, NB. Born at Campbell Settlement, York Co., NB, in 1927, she was a daughter of the late Marshall and Elois (Nye) Dickinson. Joyce is survived by two daughters, Donna Stairs (James Hinton), Nackawic, and Marlene Whitehead (Allison), Fredericton; six grandchildren, Alissa Stairs (Jim Peters), Natasha Fox (Aaron), Yolandra Stairs, Jennifer, Kathryn and Brittney Whitehead; three great grandchildren, Maxwell Peters, Colton and Brogan Fox; one brother, Cecil Dickinson (Shirley), Rossville; four sisters, Eva Lenentine, Woodstock. Edith Gardens (Sandy), Ontario, Noreen Carruthers (Ross) and Hazel Doherty, both of Nackawic; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Joyce was predeceased by a brother, Eugene Dickinson. Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, on Wednesday, from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Jennifer Brown officiating. A reception will follow at the funeral home.
