HAYES, LENA BRIDGET The passing of Lena Bridget Hayes, of Taycreek, NB, wife of Kenneth Hayes occurred at on May 5, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Lena was born on July 20, 1927 in Grey Rapids, NB, she was the daughter of the late Moses and May Curtis. In addition to her husband, Lena is survived by one daughter, Sharon Henry of Fredericton; son, Linden Green (Juanita) of Stanley; grandchildren, Troy, Freddy, Pam, Patsy, Derek, Cindy, Michael, Nicole and Nicky; two brothers, Shirley and Hayward; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Lena was predeceased by her first husband, Frederick Green; three sons, Henry, Willis and Richard; one grandson, Gerald; one great-grandson, Luke; brothers, Lindsey, Lyman, Henry, Wilson and Emerson; sisters, Melissa, Stella and Esther. Lena was an avid hockey fan, gardener, and a tremendous cook. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral service will be held at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday May 8, 2008 at 11 am with Father Maurice Swift officiating. Interment will take place at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Taycreek, NB.
